Sherrene & Jake’s Wedding Photobook

This is the custom design flush mount album I compiled from the actual day photos of Sherrene and Jake’s wedding, which sadly I wasn’t able to attend due to work commitments. Nonetheless, I helped the couple out with post-processing… Which on hindsight were by far the most extensive and time-consuming editing assignment I’ve undertaken thus far. :SYes, much more rigorous than the sort of editing I do at work! It was an uphill task to shape up the photos to quality, but thankfully I overcame the odds… And eventually I was able to produce both a HD slideshow and photobook for the couple.

Design-wise, it took me less than a week to put together the layouts of the entire photobook from start to finish. Guess I was all fired up after November’s bonfire night! Well I sort of took a risk designing the book on my own… I would usually leave it to my design pal HL to come up with layouts. But to keep costs down, and saving that bit of money for the printing and binding cost of the book, I decide to try my hands out on designing the book from scratch. It sure took me way less time putting together this book compared to the one I did for my journey through Sri Lanka. Quite miraculous thinking back how I was practically a Photoshop newbie just 5 years back. It takes at least a month for the bookbinders to print and manually bind the book. So I finally received the completed book in mid-December.

I initially felt skeptical if my edits could salvage some decent angles from the wedding or even produce any 8R prints. Ok… I guess it’s just my perfectionism working up again. But I’m glad the end product looks a giant leap of improvement from the original JPEGs I received from the bride.
