Saw this at one of the exhibits in MoMA I think… I’ve never used a typewriter before, although there was one at home. Probably fortunate to have skipped that portion of technology since I’m prone to typos. After all, the correction fluid is my best companion back in school. This typewriter looks like something more […]

Makes me wonder why guns today aren’t as ornate as they were 2 centuries ago. This is a Colt Third Model Dragoon Percussion Revolver I spotted at the MET. I think I was at the Arms and Armor section of the museum when I spotted this beauty. There’s a lot of craftsmanship and effort put […]
Self-Portrait With A Straw Hat
This is Vincent’s van Gogh’s Self-portrait With A Straw Hat, otherwise known as The Potato Peeler (1887). He’s done a lot of self portraits, so this is just 1 of the 27 portraits he did. I’m not a fan of pointilism and really dreaded having to attempt pointilism during art class back in secondary school. […]
Hmm… I was attempting a pin-hole effect here. Among the 3 manual lenses I acquired lately, I particularly love the 55mm f2.8 AI micro lens. It seems to fulfill my need aptly and is so much easier to use than my AF 50mm f1.8D. It’s ironic that older technology still beats the new.
Retro Air Pump
This photo has been post-edited to create that cross-processed, slightly vignetted look. Yes… It’s my attempt to do a digital lomo without having to get on of those “now over priced because it’s chic” toy cameras. Making do with what I have and a bit of help from Aperture goes a long way…
Shot Glasses
I’m starting a series of shots featuring my Dad’s liquor collection. Check out the blog for more interesting shots.
Rockahula
A first generation Volkswagen Type 2/Transporter. This van is approximately 30-50 years old! I’m so lucky to have spotted this van at Rockingham, WA. The split-colour is so hot! If you look closely, the driver was looking at me. As Dawn would say, another photo taken without seeking permission.
I’m not a fan of scones and raisins, but I must say my cousin (who lives in Rockingham) made really nice raisin scones. That plate she served her scones on is probably from her antique collection.
Marble Painting
An Arabic marble painting. I once did that for art lesson, 8 years ago. Of course mine was amateurish. Thinking back… I’d I learnt a lot from my primary school. If you’ve enjoyed my photos or wish to extend your encouragements to me, do VOTE for me for the 2008 Photoblog Awards.
Nederlandsch Indie
An encyclopedia guide to living in the Dutch East Indies (now known as Indonesia). I wonder what the contents are…
