George Segal’s Cinema (1963) is one of the more prominent pop art sculptures on display at Albright Knox Art Gallery. The last time I was at AK, I only had my iPhone with me and I snapped a photo of this sculpture too, alongside the other pop art paintings near it. AK has a huge […]

I’m finally done with UB. I’ve graduated and am ready to move on. This statue of a bull is a mascot of my college. It’s the spot where most students take a photo of for keepsake at their graduation. I took this photo some time in December last year, during the bleak winter. For some […]
Pensive Reflection
A sculpture by a high school student that was on exhibit at Albright-Knox Art Gallery. This sculpture caught my eye while I was walking through the upper floor of Albright-Knox. For some reason I did not bother to jot down the name of the sculpture and the artist. This particular work left me a deep […]
My first attempt at making Kimchi Bokuembap. I think I need to add more kimchi in the next time. I prefer it more spicy and flavorful… The egg was fried by H. Both of us have problems making a perfectly circular sunny side up. Anyway I’ve been cooking exotic fried rice dishes. The previous attempt […]
I took this photo for one of my photography assignments for class. Got my friend H to pose as my model. I must say that I’m much more confident with architecture and still life. Or perhaps it is just a matter of warming up from a fairly long hiatus.
Saw this on my way to Ellicott on Sunday. I wonder who’s the chap that gave this balloon. His heart must have been crushed. Tragic… On another note someone just eloped (for the night). Guess who?
Sweet and Sour Chicken
A team effort with my friend H. I was craving sweet and sour pork but cooked the chicken instead. It tasted pretty alright. But I must say I really don’t like deep-frying.
I thought the only chance I’d get to see a grilled cheese sandwich will be limited to The Sims. Haha… Seems surreal to see the real thing in front of me.
Hayes Clock Tower
Hayes Hall was once a mental asylum before it became the faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at UB. There were countless stories, myths and legends of ghostly apparitions drifting the halls of this stoic building. Despite its age, it has an elevator that serves all the floors of the building. This building is worth […]
The posture Shiyi readies herself before pelting me with her self-sculpted snow “grenades”. How could I not have known of things to come!!
So it snowed in epic grandeur on Wednesday… I went out photographing the snow while Shiyi decides to get busy pelting snowballs at me. How fancy eh… But of course pelting snowballs at an easy target gets boring quickly so she decide to build a snowman. Oh well… It didn’t work out as it was […]
Do you know this library was the original Lockwood Library before the bulk of UB shifted to the North campus?
Danger Zone
You’re fenced out and off-limits. But is there any construction going on behind that fence?
Kyli Rules
Who is Kyli?? I saw this at one of the residence hall, Scheollkopf Hall, when I was exploring the South Campus. I’m trying to familiarize myself with this campus before I start work.
Featuring James Joyce’s The Dead… What about Ulysses? The brownstone architecture lines the theatre district of Buffalo. According to a friend, the deserted street reminded her of an early morning walk through a theme park. Yes… Sometimes seeing the real deal seems so surreal.
My Block @ Flint
My current residence in US. It’s a quaint place… Everything in the house is themed blue. The furniture is blue, the kitchen flooring is blue. The main door is blue. Look… Even the fire hydrant is blue. Needless to say, the graduation gown is blue.
