There is something about using the 105mm lens. It’s painfully hard to use but when you get the focus right, the photos it produces just has that sparkling quality. A good, but difficult lens to use.
Do you understand the pain of being caught in the rain and having to run a particular distance for shelter? I’m glad my camera, despite not being weather-proof, survived that massive downpour.
Choices
In life we’re given the choice to choose the path we wish to pursue. But sometimes, the choices we have are just illusions. Route A or B eventually ends up the same destination.
Shifting memories
Oh man… I really missed the view from my old home. Do you really give a damn only when you lose something? P.S: I took this from my good ole’ casio. 3.2 goodness!
Drive-Thru
I totally didn’t expect to find a car-park at the other side of the arch. But it’s for staff only.
Bamboos are a hard subject to cover, especially so in paintings.
Larger than life… Larger than the average rat in Jurong.

Stone Lion
It’s an ancient belief among the Chinese that having a pair of stone lions outside of temples, government buildings and palaces will bring protection and good luck to the buildings. 34 years ago, Jurong Town Council wanted to recreate the Summer Palace of China at Jurong Lake. But only if they had paid more attention to the “small” architectural details (i.e. beams, signs)…
A piece of China
Is that China or Singapore? If Tang Dynasty had taken off, it’d have been Singapore’s interpretation of a Chinese Disneyland… Should we call it “Chinaland”? Unfortunately, this is all part of history with it’s demolition. Well, at least it was still useful to Mediacorp during that Olympics period. Where do you think the China scenery […]
Farewell!
I took this picture in February. Tang Dynasty has undergone demolition earlier this month. What is left is this pagoda, waiting to be brought down last. Tang Dynasty may have been a flop and boring theme park. But it was a unique landmark for Taman Jurong.
Stairway To Decay
Spartan, simple, and decaying… This stairway has seen better days 30 years ago. Note: This building is “21 Floors” at Taman Jurong.
Think Gotham
Taman Jurong’s icon: The 21 Floors. The diamond-shaped connection of 4 blocks of flats is fondly nicknamed for having 21 stories, the highest blocks of flats in the estate (ironic since new flats are only up to 20 stories). Up till late last year, these blocks of flats were a classic case of urban decay […]
